County seat Townsend, Toston, Winston, and Radersburg boast historic buildings like the Canton Church and Canyon Ferry Mansion. There are numerous ghost towns and historic sights including ancient tipi rings, buffalo jumps, ancient petroglyphs, and Lewis and Clark sights like York Island, the Little Gates of the Mountains, and the Crimson Bluffs.
